The public is requested to fill out a “Speaker Card” to address the Committee on any agenda item before the Committee takes action on an item.  Comments from the public on agenda items will be heard only when the respective item is being considered. Comments from the public on other matters not appearing on the agenda that are within the Committee’s jurisdiction will be heard during ”General Public Comments.”  Public comment is limited to two minutes maximum. No individual speaker will be allowed more than 2 minutes, unless the Committee chair decides differently.  The agenda is posted for public review at: Sterling Cleaners at 1600 Westwood Blvd., Damoka Gallery at 1424 Westwood Blvd., Print-Run at 950 Gayley Ave., the Westwood Public Library at 1246 Glendon Ave., and on the walkway between Bunche Hall and Public Policy on the UCLA campus.

3. Discussion and possible action on polling locations for June 26 election.

    Report by Joyce   Including any costs and issues associated with the site/s, the

    identification and review of hours open for voting and voting  issues                 (15 mins)

 

4. Discussion and possible action regarding disenfranchised students

     Report by Jann                                                                                                   (10 mins)

 

5. Discussion and possible action on WWNC Outreach

      Report by Frank and (possibly) Prue    including: creating a calendar, finding and informing  

      candidates, use of the website, methods of outreach, poster and flyer design and content,  

      support from HOAs to distribute info through their e-mail lists and efforts to use bulk mailing

      with DONE’s assistance                                                                                      (30 mins)

 

6.  Report on BudgetLA meeting for regional NCs

7. Discussion and possible action regarding the next Transition Committee

      Meeting

8. Discussion and possible action on WRAC meetings

    Report by Roxane Explanation of organization and WWNC involvement previously-
